long-term user of these tights
"I have been wearing these tights daily since 2003, back when they were named Radiance. Also before they sold them as open toe. I used to have to cut the toes to prevent ingrown toenails. They reconfigured their product weave and rebranded from Mediven to Medi in the 2000s. After this, the toe issue was solved but a new problem arose -- a weakness in the heels. The heel eventually wears out and then (hopefully) doesn't cut into the skin too badly when worn. This happens way before the eventual rips, when the tights themselves still perform their primary function -- increasing blood flow to the heart. It is often painful, this heel rip. Meanwhile, I've tried nearly every brand of tights for daily wear and even with the problems, these are still my favorite choice. The heel problem is persistent, though, and eventually happens to every single pair I wear. I have asked the company about this and haven't received any responses from them."
