"I am a woman and have had to wear 30-40 compression hose for 15+ years. At first I wore pantyhose all of the time, which I can hardly stand anymore due to the abdominal compression. Now I wear thigh length, but need a break from the silicone bands periodically. I don't want to wear a garter belt, so this is the next best thing. I buy one for each leg and use one band to connect them. I wear a II in the short length and these work great. I rotate wearing these and thigh highs, and any irritation that I developed from the thigh hi band (usually in the summer) has a chance to clear up. I had tried the Jobst that come in a double, but they do not offer them in a short, and the regular size would practically reach up to my armpits. They probably market them to men, so don't care about short women who might want to try this style. I wish that Mediven would offer these in a pair , instead of just singles. Mediven is my favorite brand because they fit me so well and last so long."
