Microfiber knee socks--maybe size up

"The microfber socks are good for a less "sporty" or casual look, eg for work. However, the width of the sock from heel to front of ankle seems unusually tight, leaving purple marks on my ankle. I went from my usual S to M which improved the situation, especially after I had worn the socks a couple of times. However the "compression" effect might be compromised with a larger size. (I am on the large end of S, but not up to the sizing dimensions of M. )"

Good socks but sizing is tricky

"I ordered these in Medium and Large, hoping for a good fit. My feet are big, ankles slim, calf average, and the toes of both sizes were too tight and socks too short, cutting in at the top. Return for full refund was easy. Then I tried a similar sock in mens' sizing (AW style 104) and Hooray, plenty of toe room, comfortable compression and length right up to my knees with soft band at the top! Thank you AW!"
