I started wearing these on and off about 2 years ago after vein surgery. Now I'm have spider vein procedures and am wearing them again, all day, everyday. I'm finding them quite comfortable but the toes sometimes get pulled very tight and I have to take off my shoes and socks to pull the toes out a bit. I've also found that isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and a cotton ball works great for keeping the silicone tacky so they stay up much better. Just rub on before you put them on, especially if you wear them 2 days in a row. I've also noticed the itch at the back seam but it goes away. The seam near the ball of the foot is noticeable (I have Morton's Neuroma) but it's o.k. because I wear socks with lots of cushion. Might not work for me w/o socks. Also have worn on very long flights and my legs stay comfortable--no swelling or pain.
